That is a very interesting film on Louis XIV. The most exciting fact is that Roberto Rossellin (famous italian director) tryed to recreate 17th century and the court of Louis XIV as accurate as possible. The writer of the script was a well-known historian Philippe Erlanger (who wrote books on Louis XIV, Louis XV, Richelieu, Henri VIII and many others). So that film offers an unbelievable possiblity to see things that are normally not shown in other historical films. Enjoy!
